|I just got my first 1 roll back on Thursday, and from Alexa's
|description it sounds like different people were running the lab
|when they processed her order. (Or maybe 8 rolls get extra special
|attention?) All of my prints have some sort of smeary marks on the
|surface...my best guess is they were not dried properly, or the
I'm probably in the middle. The standard prints I've gotten back have
been generally ok, although not great. I did, however order an 11*14
enlargement for Jamie's museum display. It took them a LONG time, about
6 weeks (not the 10 working days they claim). There was a slight surface
imperfection (which I didn't notice until looking at it for awhile) but
which probably should not have gotten past quality control. On the
other hand, there was a dust streak on the original small print which
was either missing or minimized (I forget which) on the enlargement,
so it looks like they took some care there.
So probably it depends on which tech person you get. Kind of like the
stories out of Detroit - you don't want a car which was the last
thing off the line on Friday afternoon, or the first one off on Monday
morning :-)
