Shab has done and is
doing a great job promoting stereo photography, now as the president of the
Cascade Stereo Club in Portland Oregon.  He deserves to get a free
subscription to our newsletter, but so does the President of PSA (well
known stereo photographer Pauline Sweezey), Bill Clinton and a long list of
national and international stereo celebrities.  

Since we are a small club
(we don't even know how many members we are going to have (currently we
only have two members, and I am not one of them!!!! :-))) and we are
burried with startup expenses, we have decided not to offer free
subscriptions to anyone.  What we can do is set our dues as a club and
other clubs can set theirs and then we can decide if we want as individuals
or as club, subscribe to your newletter.  I think this is the best way to 
do it.  

BTW, the cost to copy (only copy, not mail) this second newsletter was
$0.73 per issue (ouch!) and we made 100 copies.  With only two members
in the club and 70 newsletters going out, guess who's paying the bill?!
:-)  I estimate that it will take more than 5 years to pay off these
start up expenses.  It is a costly operation but it's worth every penny
put into it!
