Justification

>>Your statements might be more useful if you justified them.

That's it!!! I had it with you people and your unjustified claims. Were
the studies done using one eye or both eyes? If both eyes were used, were
any glasses used? What kind? Was the text stationary or rotated to induce
the stereoscopic effect that Ron Labbe described earlier? How was
"readable" defined? What kind of text was used in these studies? Anything
to do with stereoscopy? Was the text in English, Greek, or Chinese? What
was the average age of the subjects? The spacing of the lines? The font?

There are just too many variables to take into account. Perception is a
complicated thing. And so is readability. I am sick and tired of people
telling me what to read and how to read it and trying to influence my job
as an editor based on erroneous studies and statistics. Our newsletter
uses justified columns and it will remain like that, no matter what those
"studies" indicate. That's life. If you don't like it, don't subscribe.
We don't need your money anyway.
