Greetings from San Francisco. I am now here on business and finally got
some remote e-mail access. Prior to my vacation time next week, I'd like
to purchase my first stereo camera. After doing some looking the other
day, I found some stores with the cameras listed below. I have made notes
by the cameras, and I would like to hear what people's opinions are of
them for a beginner's use. The prices are also listed, but I'm pretty
sure there may be some give in price (please also let me know if these are
good prices for the cameras). If anyone would like me to purchase one for
them, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Note that this e-mail
address is different from my normal work one. Thanks!

Adam

Stereo Realist -- $495 (might do it for $395), may have manual, looks in
decent condition.

Sputnik Medium format, viewer INCLUDED -- $350, I haven't seen this one
yet.

The following cameras were all at one store and they all looked pretty
decent.

Universal Stere'-all -- $225, tag said US rare.

Viewmaster Personal -- $249.

Kodak Stereo -- $199.50, tag said Consignment (I don't know what that
refers to, but it looked in good shape).

Edixa Stereo IIA Rangefinder -- $250.

Iloca Hemburg -- $375.

Revere 33 -- $375, tag said "The Best!" Mint, it even had two tiny leather
lens caps (although a little worn). I'm considering this one, but don't
know how well it performs stacked up against the above...

Again, since I'm new to this, I'd like to know if these are good prices,
and if not, what I should try to bargain them down to, which out of these
is a good camera for a beginner, and maybe what to look for in terms of
possible defects. Thanks a lot! BTW, I'll only be able to get my e-mail
until Tuesday evening, so rapid responses would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Adam
