OK, Paul... I guess "criticizing DrT" was not enough for you, now we
have to start a "criticizing DrT's Club name" thread... :-) :-) :-)
A name means nothing and there is no reason to name a club after
the metropolitan area that it resides. Since there is no other stereo
club in Ohio, we decided to call it "Ohio Stereo Photographic Society".
Do you have a problem with that???
If you do have a problem, here is what you can do: 1) Join the club.
2) Propose a name change, 3) Find 7 more members who approve this change
and submit this proposal during a regular club meeting, 4) Hope to get
2/3 vote in the next regular meeting.
Sounds complicated but the name of the club is the first article of the
Constitution and the procedure I just outlined is the last article which
tells you how you can change the Constitution. This Constitution was
voted last Tuesday. If you would like a copy, send a SASE and I will
get it to you.

We have named our children Vasiliki and Antonios after my parent's name
(Greek tradition). It would bother me if someone outside my family
questions why we chose these names. Same way, I don't see why someone
from Texas has a problem with our club name. A name is just a name...
Perhaps there are other more important issues to worry about...
