Yes, of course! I am doing it on a regular basis and for a number of
reasons: 1) test different cameras (take 2-3 pictures in each one)
2) use different films in one camera, 3) transfer the roll from my
Realist to my SLR to finish it with a few tabletops or visa versa.
4) Transfer the roll in another Realist (7p, Ektar, etc.)
Here is what I do: Check film counter. Say I am in number 14 in my
Realist. That means that I am at about half the roll. If I am going to
transfer it to another Realist I would advance 3 frames past this
one just to be in the safe side (advancing 2 frames will get you
out of the sequence but pretty close, 3 frames is safe). If I am
going to transfer it to an SLR I would go to frame number 20 to be
safe (I am assuming 36 exp. roll)
