The other descriptions I've come across make it sound more like separate
image signals are transmitted (though perhaps not simultaneously). Perhaps
there's more to be found on the subject.

George, I'm shocked! You of all people should be insisting that they use
areologic filters on this mission!  :-)

John R (who would prefer that terms such as "geology", "perigee", etc. be
applied to all celestial bodies, not just Earth :-)
