I am New to 3D techniques

I was wondering if anybody could share some 3D techniques we me?

The media I have been working with is usual anything and everything. But 
mainly landscape and old buildings. The only real 3D techniques I have 
mess with is having 3 people sitting in a room. Then have them sit at 
different angles and distances from each other. Then focus on just one 
person keeping all the people in the picture.

Please could anybody help me?
