Saw this news item:
Image scientists Friday displayed a magnificent three-dimensional
"Monster Pan" -- a 180-degree panorama of the Martian landscape
stretching from the lander to the horizon. Journalists attending the
press briefing wore special glasses to view the scene.
Cook said the photograph would be topped next week when NASA
shows off its Mars "Gallery Pan," a 360-degree Panoramic view of
the Martian surface.
It doesn't mention whether the 360-degree image is three-dimensional,
or that the 180 degree 3D image, or parts of it, have been put on the
Web. Anyone know how to get a press pass to the briefing? Surely
a P3D subscriber/poster could qualify as a "journalist." I'll
volunteer. :-)
