RBT Mounts at NSA
Someone asked about the price change of the RBT mounts. I don't remember
the price before the NSA meeting, but I bought one box from Jon at $30.00
for fifty mounts (he threw in a few sample close-up mounts as a garnish).
Is that a difference from what they were before? I know it was less than
I would have paid at home, because there was no postage needed at NSA.
I was convinced I needed to buy them because during the stereo-theater
show-and-tell portion, several people tried cardboard-mounted slides and
found that some of them buckled. The Brackett Dissolver expects sturdier
slides than the cardboard mounts can provide. I've not had a cardboard
mount buckle in my TDC, but cardboard mounts DO sometimes miss the
carrier groove and therefore have improper registration in my TDC. I'd
use RBT mounts for everything if they were less costly. But I WILL mount
my best shots for projection in RBTs, now that I have some.
