Well said! I've explained this many many times to friends and relatives
who are amazed at the amount of film I purchase for a trip. During my
scuba diving (i.e. single w/ no family!) days, it wouldn't be unusual to
shoot 20 rolls of film for a 5-6 day trip. And, all 36 exposure as the
minute you shoot your last shot underwater the sharks appear :-) In fact,
I even carried a (shudder) Kodak disc camera as a backup/spare.
Of course there is that time I got 43 shots from a roll of 36. That is
until I found out what I forgot to load into the camera! :-( I still
remember the great setups I had and the fantastic fish I saw during that
dive. Sure wish I could show them to someone!
So, the rest of you take a lesson from the master. Film is infinitely
cheaper than another ticket back because you ran out. And, shoot often.
I have 16 pictures that I took in a 20 minute period of my son playing in
a water fountain at Walt Disney World. Two of them are excellent and are
ready for framing to sit on my desk.
Regards,
Ron
