OLD film

Although I don't normall do this, following is a cross posting from
the photography in Genealogy mailing list concerning the development
of some OLD film (probably not stereo, unfortunately). As we have some
rather high powered photo gurus here, I thought maybe someone could help
out. If so, please respond directly to Mmbanzai@xxxxxxx and CC to here.
THANKS!

=================================
Hello everyone,
I'm been in the process of transferring old 8mm movie film onto video in
order to preserve them and give copies to other family members. I've come
across 5 rolls of undeveloped Super 8mm movie film that my mother has kept in
a box for going on 30 years. My question is, does anyone have any
suggestions on where I might get these rolls developed? I have reason to
believe that several older family members who have passed on might have been
filmed, and this would mean a lot to me. I realize that since it's so old,
nothing may develop well, but I need to know. I have called all the small
stores and one of the larger developers in my area (Qualex Inc, Elgin, IL).
Twice I have called their main offices and have been told that they can
develop them, and twice they have mailed them back to me saying that they
don't develop that type of film. I apologize for the off topic question, but
I am at a loss.
There are two rolls of Kodachrome II Super 8 film, outdoor-indoor type A.
Three rolls of Sears Super 8 Easi Load Film, Color, outdoor-indoor type A.
Can anyone help me?
Thx,
Cherri
