Slip on the free bonus 3D glasses and get ready to watch the best
dinosaur video ever--brought to you by the Natural History Museum.
Using advanced technology pioneered in movies such as "Terminator 2"
and "Jurassic Park," "Dinosaurs & Other Amazing Creatures" are
brought to amazing 3D life. Now for the first time on DVD, see these
great monsters trample through the primeval swamps, fighting, eating,
sleeping and killing. These fascinating reptiles literally jump out
of your TV screen. Bonus program: see fun, scary, creepy, crawly
creatures up close in 3D. Spiders, snakes, lizards, scorpions and
much more!

...It is unclear what 3-D format will be used (my guess is anaglyph
or Pulrich), but if it's anaglyph, (red/blue) and was kept as component
video throughout the mastering process, this *may* prove to be the
best anaglyph NTSC 3-D yet, due to component DVD having a wide chroma
(color) bandwidth not possible with VHS, S-VHS, Laserdisc and current
broadcast television. ..Should be interesting either way.
I just checked out my VHS copy of "The Mask" that I recorded off AMC
early Tuesday morning. Before the film began, a notice proclaimed:
"Stay tuned for the 3-D shocker, the Mask ..Next!" The movie then ran
flatter than a pancake. Oh well.. back to the old 3-D VHS copy. Hmmm..
With AMC airing a 2-D version, I wonder if the original stereo pairs
are still available for perhaps a future (superior) LCS/field-sequential
3-D version?
