I disagree. While flat may be a hair better for extinction, the light is
reflected directly, as a mirror, thus resulting in serious light loss for
audience not directly in front of screen. However, your knowledge of
polarizers is overwhelming!

Ah, you must mean the other way around, eh?

I've found out the hard way that Kodalith film, used for titles and
masking, depolarizes.
Unfortunately, 3D is matter of compromises...
