Silver screens and the Woodland Park Zoo

No one has mentioned the 3D show at the Woodland Park Zoo (Seattle,
WA) yet. I and my family had a chance to see it while at the NSA
Convention (it was the premiere showing). While my family went below
in the auditorium to watch it, I was invited by Kirk Melby (the laser
light programmer) to go upstairs and see how it all worked. A really
impressive array of equipment all computer controlled. It is a
combination multi-projector 3D slide show and laser light animation.
It gives the effect of a movie with static 3D slides - a really well
done show. Kirk said that much of the hand drawn 3D slides were done
in-house. I highly recommend seeing this show.
Because I was told that at NSA that they have the only roll of screen
material left in the world, I asked about their screen. Kirk said
there were two companies still producing large silver screens
(neither one DaLite). One was material only and the other sold
complete screens (frames, lacing, etc.). He also said ones was much
brighter than the other.
Anyway, if anyone is interested, here is Kirk's address and the
address of the company they used.
