Stereo at Stellafane

Last weekend was the annual convention of amateur telescope makers at
Stellafane in Springfield VT.  The event draws 2000 amateur astronomers.  As I
was wandering around with a Realist, I ran into about 6 other people who either
had stereo cameras or saw mine and said they did stereo.  A few people had
Realists.  One fellow had another camera, perhaps a TDC.  One fellow made a
camera body out of wood in order to use a Revere lens board he had.  One fellow
had a twin camera rig on a wooden bar.  He was using two different brand of
cameras, both with 50mm lenses.  He claimed that he didn't see any difference
in the image size between the cameras.  One fellow said he did large format
stereo by taking two 2x5 shots on one 4x5 film.  He said he built viewers and
projectors for this format.
