Jokes aside,  it seems that any one of the surround sound variants
(discrete multichannel, dolby pro logic, etc) would work very nicely 
in conjunction with projected 3D visuals.  Anybody try that ?

Would it be better to have the "rear" speakers be behind the screen so
the soundfield's depth would match the visual's, or would our ears not
be able to localize sounds that way?

What would be a practical means to make the visual depth match the
sound-depth for correspondance between the two?  Not necessarily
perfect matches, but what method might give the best shot at 
being in the same ballpark?

Carrying around two sony walkman recorders (for 4-channels) would
be lighter than a single extra stereo camera!  They're amazingly
small and light (the sony's :-).  So we're not talking about the 
impractical!
