The Bobcat Chat Line is photo-3d and as far as I know, John is (or was) a
member of photo-3d but he does not participate in the disussions.
Regarding the reference to "cruel criticism" it should noted that even
though there is occasional criticism of opinions or ideas, this criticism
is not directed against members personally but it is a part of the
discussion and the nature of all discussion lists. I have personally
argued some fine stereo photography related issues with many members of
this list but always consider opposing view points as valid (yes, that's
true! :-)) and the persons who hold these opinions as friends, and most
regular photo-3d participants do the same.
There are quite a few noted stereo personalities (Paul Wing, Paul Milligan,
David Starkan and Susan Pinsky are a few that come in mind) who hold email
accounts but have not joined photo-3d (or if they have, they do not
participate in the discussions). This is fine. Not every one has the time
or inclination or interest to participate in these discussions and their
decision is respected.
