What is a Laterna?
George Themelis in digest 2214 refered to the "Guy with the laterna" as one
of the shots he failed to get because of problems with his camera. What is
a Laterna ? I have heard the term Laterna Magica as well as Lanterna magica
as other names for the Magic Lantern through the Magic Lantern Society.
Meaning the ancestor of present day projectors including our stereo ones,
there were even a few examples of stereo magic lanterns. is a Laterna a
