This looks similar to the Polariod Mini-Portrait Camera which has been
popular for years as a passport camera. Yes, these do make excellent stereo
cameras for portraits. Some of these are fixed focused at around 4 feet
though, making them rather limited. The best one is the 4-lensed Cambo
Mini-Portrait camera which focuses from 3 feet to infinity, has variable
aperture and shutter speeds, and accepts a standard 4x5 sheet holder. These
take both horizontal and vertical views too !

This is an excellent book, especially for view collectors. Well worth the
investment!
