The plastic slide pages made of PVC are not archival quality.

The Plano boxes are made from inert polypropylene, but I've noticed
that they feel slightly greasy. I think this comes from the release
agent used in the molding process. I wash the boxes in warm water using
a sponge and Dawn dishwashing detergent before storing slides in them.
