In response to John B's comment about not being able to see an object of
interest out of both eyes when looking to the side- Now HERE's an
ethnospecific effect!  Guess what! If I'm looking right, my left eye is
blocked by my NOSE! Of COURSE I don't see depth in this situation! 
John, your a GENIUS!  I think the scientific term is Schnozzic
vignetting?
