1. Hold your hand between your eyes, against your nose.
2. Check each eye to be certain their remaining fields of vision do not
overlap.
This merely approximates the effect of being without stereovision. I did
not find it dizzying, etc. Just boring. ;-)
Now as to driving, stereovision is only of practical use in low-speed
situations such as school zones and parking. Above 25 mph, you will be
traveling too fast to really get much benefit from stereovision. Any object
close enough to fall in front of stereoscopic infinity will get _flattened_
by the time you notice it! <g>
