I agree - several of the stereo viewing approaches make a considerable
effort to keep the inconsistencies to a minimum, and this increases viewing
enjoyment, especially for novices.
People who have had a lot of experience can often learn to make a lot of
adjustments - for example it may even be possible to compensate for a
slightly rotated image. In a way that's good, but it also means special care
must be taken when composing and mounting stereo photos for novices to view.
