TDC Colorist II film advance problem

Well, I got my Colorist II back from being repaired(the normal
slipping take-up reel) and that part works fine. Also the lenses seen
very sharp, so I would like to make this one a user. But there's one
little problem. On the left image, the exposed part is sometimes 1/16
to 1/8 inch lower than the right, and exposes down into the sprocket
holes. I can usually adjust enough to line them up vertically in paper
mounts, but it's a bigger problem with RBT's, which I like to use.

I tested with a roll of old film with the back open, and the problem
seems to be that the cavity which holds the film canister is too big,
and sometimes during winding, the canister slips down a bit and causes
the film behind the left lens to go off the track toward the bottom of
the camera.

My solution is to build up the bottom of the cavity so that the film
fits tighter, but I thought I would run it by the experts on here and
see if anyone had had the same problem and had a better solution, as I
don't particularly want to glue something to my camera.

Thanks,
Jeff Jessee
