Anaglyph printing
Message text written by INTERNET:photo-3d@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
>I wonder if someone could help me find out exactly what inks are require=
d
to print anaglyph images to be viewed either with red/green or red/blue
glasses? Is the ink different depending on whether you use blue or green?=
If anyone could advise the PMS colours need in each case, I would be most=
grateful. Also, is it possible once you have created a photograpic anagly=
ph
in Photoshop in the two colours and then converted it to CMYK (four-colou=
r
process) to print an anaglyph using four-colour process?<
Ray Zone is an infrequent contributor to P3D, and I remember reading an
article by him some time ago in which he mentioned the Pantone shades he
used in his many, many comic books. Perhaps he's reading this...?
Basically, you want a magenta and a cyan, and your printer should test th=
e
result with a sample of the glasses you'll be distributing with your
finished product.
As for creating CYMK output of anaglyphs, unless you're doing one of thos=
e
gawdawful ugly color anaglyphs, that shouldn't be necessary. There's only=
two colors involved -- why pay to have four printed?
