How about a hand held electronic photo album? A flat device with an LCD
screen, specifically designed for displaying photos. Imagine a PCMCIA
card that will hold your pictures (or even a mini-CD). Controls on the
touch screen display will allow you to page forward, backwards, set a
slide show, trim, rotate &/or crop and set a sequence of which pictures to
show and which to "remove". A little plug in jack (1/8" size) for your
LCD glasses could also be included.

In other words, one of those little tablets they keep on looking at in
Star Trek TNG, Voyager, Deep Space 9, etc... With the advent of the
digital camera and some sort of memory cartridge (sure wish they'd
standardize!) as well as all the "digital" servicing going on now (both
PhotoCD and diskette), I don't know why someone hasn't developed one yet!

And, just think about the possibilities. This type of "photo album" with
a small attachment could conceviably use the APS cartridges and scan the
negative right into the display. Simply load your cartridge in the add-on
reader and page through the photos just like you would with the other
storage media.

What was that email address for Kodak...

Ron
