There are two models of TDC projectors: 116 and 716. They both
look very similar with only a few small differences:

The 116 is supposed to be used with 500W bulbs. The cord is not
attached but if is separate and it is sometimes lost. I can make a
replacement for this cord from an appliance cord sold in hardware
stores.

The 716 "Deluxe" projector is designed for 750W bulbs. The cord
is part of the projector. It has a 3-way switch to run the fan
separately from the bulbs (the 116 does not). It also has a
different slide carrier.

I don't know what this gentleman means by "rewire". Perhaps
he has a 116 that is missing the cord (common). Or he has a
716 that has a damaged cord (rare). In any case, this is not
a big deal but a good point to negotiate a better price.

I use my 116 with 500W bulbs after verifying that the 750W do not
give a brighter image in this projector. I have also modified one of
the two switches to be able to run the fan separately, but I am
not sure how useful/important this is.

You should also know that these projectors come with either
5" or 4" lenses. The 5" are more common and the 4" more
desirable because they will project a larger image from the
same projector location. Dealers ask a premium for 4" lenses.

If you cannot locate a stereo projector locally you can always
place a "Wanted" ad in sell-3d. To subscribe to sell-3d use
the same command that you used for photo-3d, only substitute
"sell-3d" for "photo-3d".
