Re: Digital VS Film

Nah! That newfangled high-tech film-thing ain't art! It may seem easier
than oil on canvas, but darn it, if you enjoy artistry, ....

Mike K.

P.S. - But then, oil paints are a newfangled high-tech item! Charcoal on
tree-bark or cave walls is the *proper* way to do art.

P.P.S. - I seem to recall a famous painter who painted color dots and became
a famous artist with "art" that was very coursely "digitized"!!!!!
His painting with people in a park is one of my favorites (I have a
cup with that painting on it).

P.P.P.S. - I'm not one who thinks there's no art in photography, but I
also don't think that film-photography has any sort of exclusive to
being art. Art really isn't technology-based "for" or "against".
Technology just makes things different. And in art, there's no
sense in arguing "better" or "worse" with anyone. :-) :-) :-)
