TDC vs Triad

George is looking for someone who had a TDC and switched to a Triad:
Now... how many people have had one projector and dumped it to use
another one at all? Very few I'd bet (maybe people dumping Nord's, or
switching to Brackett's or RBT's maybe...).

George wants to know about converting a Triad carrier to 7P:
They projected 7P without modification. They come darn close to
projecting 8P, but it didn't cut off enough that I ever bothered cutting
out the apetures on mine.

Switching polarizers:
The pol's on mine were just fine so it wasn't an issue. Regarding
Reel-3D having replacements: As I said before, the TDC is a much more
common unit so if they're gonna carry ANY replacemnt pol's it's gonna be
for the most common projectors.

Clubs use TDCs:
AGAIN, what's common? The people in the club are gonna use what
they've GOT. The portland club did it's projection with a TDC because
that's what someone in the club (several someone's in the club actually)
HAD. The Seattle club uses a Brackett because that's what somebody had
decided to spend the bucks for and they liked the dissolve.

Reel 3D carrying pols and clubs using them are all a factor of how common
and easy to find they are. Just because something is more common doesn't
make it better though. (Unlike god's gift to stereo photography of
course, the mighty Realist...)
