New B&W film

I received two sample rolls of a new Kodak B&W film the other day and
wondered if anyone has tried it yet?
It is T400CN T-Max Professional. It has an EI of 400, but claims
equal or better grain than 100 speed. The other feature is that it is
developed in C-41 chemicals (standard color), and can be printed on
color or B&W papers.
I was also told that it could be developed in E-6 chemicals for B&W
positives. If this is true it would be an easy and inexpensive way to
get B&W slides.
The only draw back is the EI of 400 which Kodak suggests f16 at 1/500
in bright sunlight. This is too fast for most 50's stereo cameras. It
should work great for low light conditions or flash photography
though. In fact the exposure guide on the inside of the box gives
suggested exposure for basketball, hockey, and bowling (f2 at 1/125);
Stage shows - average light (f2.8 at 1/60) or bright light (f2.8 at
1/250); and School auditoriums (f2 at 1/30). The next time you have
an irresistible urge to capture a bowling tournament in 3D you now
have a film specific for it *{;-)
With all the talk about ghosting in stereo x-rays and high contrast
color slides, how do general B&W shots project? Are there certain
compositions to avoid?
I am going to be testing out this film soon, one standard and one
reversal, but if anyone has already tried it or gets to it before me,
please send a report to the digest.
Thanks for the time,
