stereo base, 2-camera equipment

Hi !


There was a discussion about stereo base formulas. I was not very
successful in searching the archives. Which document should I retrieve ?
 Was there a final formula found ?  Is it easy to use ?

Like I mentioned in a previous note, I do hyperstereo photo-3d with a
single ordinary camera. I want to improve by using 2 cameras. The
distance of the cameras should be most variable but easy to use and
carry. I think about mounting them on a bar which is variable in length.
Does somebody use such an equipment ?  Please tell about your
experiences !  I do apologize if this also already has been discussed.
My skills with this e-mail system are not good enough to find the
documents which I want in the archives.
