I have taken many photos with twin medium format
TLRs (Ricohflex's). I have a short slidebar (15")
and use an Olympus double cable release to fire
both simultaneously (B&H carries it).

I have also taken many photos using the same
cameras on my 39" bar using two cable releases.
Firing one with each hand. If you press quite
quickly you can get good synchronization.

I have also taken fireworks photos using these
cameras on an 8 foot long bar, supported by two
tripods. Again, two cable releases were used,
one in each hand. People who've seen these slides
will attest to the good synchronization.

Joel Alpers has scans of my various slidebars
and is planning on putting them on his web page.
I don't know if they are up yet. If not, this
is good incentive for him :) :)
