Revere Help

I have a Revere stereo camera in mint- condition that exhibits an
intermittant problem.  I am wondering if anyone out there has some
Revere repair experience and might give me some insight and save me some
time.  I have obtained the proper wrenches and Jess Powell's videotape
on repair of the Revere, but haven't made the time to tackle it yet.

The problem:  When I advance the wind mechanism without film in the
camera, the shutter cocks and fires properly.  When film is loaded, I
have to advance the wind knob through 2 cycles, thus wasting a frame of
film, before the shutter cocks and the mechanism functions properly.

Any help would be appreciated.
