Stereo Stuff in Rochester Show
- From: P3D Bill Davis <bd3d@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Some stereo things were available at Camera Rochester (NY) annual show
today (Prices are tagged prices. Some stuff had no tags.):
Two or three Kodak Stereos, a Revere, a TDC Vivid and a couple of Realist
3.5s in the $100-150 range, a 2.8 Realist and a near-mint Colorist II with
equally mint case for $350 each. Also a Delta Stereo, a Coronet, Colorist
and maybe one or two others. Other than the Colorist II most were in
typical used condition, no major damage, functional but not necessarily
pretty.
A half-dozen or so viewers were seen. A Handi-Viewer (non-achromat), a
Guild, a Kodaslide I and a II (and a one and a two...it's Lawrence Welk!)
and a couple more. Most had no tags.
One table held stereo views, mostly cards, but a short stack (20) of 50's
nudes (women only, sorry Dalia) in Realist mounts for $40. No Betty Page.
Same dealer had a boxful of Brugieres (sp.?), some glass positives and a
couple of Fairy Tale sets in a format I hadn't seen before. They appeared
to be Realist format mounts but with extended tabs at the top of the mount,
packaged in a flat square box.
I didn't see what kind of deals were available with dickering on those
items. The one item I bought (a Weston 735 exposure meter, older than my
camera!) was purchased for about 30% less than marked price of $15.
Best regards,
Bill Davis
