In the Calendar section of today's The Hartford Courant newspaper, there is
an
article on (excerpts from the article):

"The Palace Rocks in 3D" is a weekend festival of pop-classical movies, all
transformed into 3-D through a new film process.

The new system, called Flatout 3D, was first tested in August at Thunder
Ridge,
a concert site in Patterson, N.Y., with a screening of "The Rocky Horror
 Picture Show".

Any film can be transformed into 3-D, as long as it's in a digital format,
Bagarozy - (Gregory Bagarozy, head of GRB Group, which is producing the
event
with VRex Inc.) says. The process, developed by VRex Inc. of Elmsford, N.Y.
uses a combination of signal processing, polarization and 3-D galsses to
 create depth in flat-screen images.

The movies shown in this 3-D system are:

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Terminator
The Song Remains the Same
The Never Ending Story
Blade Runner

The movies will be shown at the Palace Theater in New Haven, CT.

Anyone know anything about this 3D process? Is it any good?

Roland Lataille
