I have been invited to give a stereo slide presentation "Stereo 
Imaging in Science and Industry" for the ASM Chapter in Chicago 
on Tuesday October 14th and for the IIT (Illinois Institute of
Technology) on October 15th.  I believe both presentations are
open to the public and will post directions and details in a
few days.

In a number of occassions I have asked people to contribute
images for this program, which is an on-going effort from my
side to "advertise" the scientific applications of stereoscopic 
imaging.  It is my pleasure to thank the following people for 
contributing material:

- Richard Koolish for his stereo pair of Comet Hyakutake recorded
  in April 1996,

- William Payne for 6 computer-generated pairs of molecules,
  fractals and geometric figures,

- David Hutchison for 2 stereo pairs of Mars, curtesy of the 
  Pathfinder and NASA,

- Prof. Clifford Mugnier for hundreds of photogrammetric images
  (aerial topographical and more)

I am still looking for interesting images... I don't have any decent
stereos of the moon (the ones I tried to copy from old stereo views
did not copy well), I am looking for 3D plots (plotting data in
3 dimensions), 3D CAD images, SEM stereos of bugs etc.
