Who's in charge?

>There are those who believe that it is exactly these modern technologies=

that have taken the control out of the photographer. Now the camera will=

decide everything for you. Take exposure for example. How much control
does the user of a fully-automatic camera using print film has over
exposure? How can you learn using such camera?<

I don't think it is necessarily true that the photographer is controlled =
by
the camera. Someone who has the mind-set or the artistic skill to take go=
od
pictures will take good pictures whether he is working with Brownie box
camera or a top-of-the-line automatic camera (although admittedly he will=

have the intelligence to have purchased a top-of-the-line camera with
*manual override* of all features). On the other hand, someone who
basically takes snapshots will do pedestrian-looking work, even with his
state-of-the-art automatic wiz-bang computer-controlled camera.
