new vs. old lenses

I have 3 problems with the David White 3.5 lenses on my Realist:

1. The lenses vignette slightly at most f/stops (I generally use f/11 or
f/16)

2. The color balance tends to be "cool"

3. There seems to be 'flare' on highlights, perhaps caused by the geometry
described above.

While none of these problems are *very* serious, the resulting images are
a notch or two below the quality I have come to expect from my TDC Vivid
or Belplasca.
