Scent of Mystery is one of several films using various gimmicks in the la=
te
'50s and '60s that tried to link themselves via advertising to positive
memories of 3D movies ("but without the glasses"). However, the John Wate=
rs
film that everyone is so embarrassed to remember was called "Polyester"
(1981), and featured a scratch-and-sniff card. It was in "Odorama".
