True, but the discussion is about stereo's future. At least, that's
what it says in the subject line!

This is rapidly changing. Due to convergence of technologies, this
will/is an outdated notion.

Home computer penetration is inevitable, and will happen faster
than most people realize. Look at the Internet, who could have
predicted this just a few short years ago? Aunt Mildred
will be owning and using a computer and not even know it.
As for cost or "investment" in this (future) 3D toy, this also
is a non issue, since most of the equipment required will already
be in place. Your television in your living room will be a computer.
Your computer will be a television. Your telephone line will be
your cable TV. Your cable TV could very well be your telephone
line. The lines (or cable) are being blurred! ;-) Thus, everyone
will already have 90% of the equipment to start their new 3D hobby!
As for the photo in your wallet, that too will soon be obsolete!
