Rangefinder/Stereo parts compatible?

Hiya, folks;
you may remember me as the fellow who sent out a 3D plea for a junker
Realist (I want to purchase one) so that I may replace the brass gear
teeth on my own camera that broke.
I found a "mono" Realist Rangefinder camera that's being auctioned off;
are the gears underneath the advance knob compatible with the Realist
stereo cameras? 
I'd appreciate any help/suggestions.
