Twinning 2 Olympus XA2's

I am considering building a twin rig consisting of 2 XA2's. After having a quick
look at one of the cameras I think there are 2 jobs to be done.
1. electronically connecting the shutter release.
2. Getting the camera without the flash to go into 'flash' mode when I need
   it.

Presumable 1 or 2 of you have tried this as a project already, so if anyone
can answer a couple of questions I'd be grateful.

1. Has anyone put instructions anywhere on the WWW (hey why struggle when
some genius has already done it :-) )?
2. When I open it up is it going to explode in a shamble of springs and cogs !
3. Is there any particular screws I should be undoing in any order ?
4. Being electronically inept what sort of bits do I need to connect the 2
shutters release buttons ( I presume theres a diode in there somewhere) ?

Thanks
