Nice summary George. I'll add some of my opinions also

You forgot plastic sleeves. They can be used directly
over Albions (don't know about the other alum mounts).
Or they can be used over EMDE frames. Or they can be cut
and put inside the EMDE frame to protect the emulsion
side only.
The final one is my choice for the best looking protected
slide mount (excluding glass mounts with EMDE binders which
also look very professional).
A cut piece inside a blue cardboard foldover would also
work I assume.

You graciously didn't mention the glare off the
bevelled window edges, even though I know it bothers
you too.
I only do viewer viewing (no projection) so this
glare is a major detractor for me. I wish RBT would
rough up the bevels in the mould and fix this
problem.
It is a non-problems for projection or people
who don't look at the window edges in a viewer.
