I would appreciate any information any of you who have experience with the
use of LCD shutter glasses in a P.C. environment
can give me. I am in the process of purchasing a reasonably high-end 300
MHz Pentium II computer and would like to support
flicker-free field or frame sequential stereoscopic output.

The limitations in the past have been:

	1.	Processor speed

	2.	LCD switching speed

        3. Video card speed

	3.	Monitor vertical scan rate

	4.	Monitor phosphor decay rates

	5.	Operating system driver support

The first three items have been taken care of by recent technology advances,
I have several pairs of shutter glasses capable
of switching at greater than 120 Hz and the computers I am looking at are
about state of the art for memory and speed for a P.C.
It have found it difficult to find appropriate specs on monitors.

I need at least a 17" monitor (old eyes) capable of at least 1024 x 768
pixels at a vertical scan rate of at least 100 -120 Hz.
The speed of the phosphors should also be such as to minimize ghosting.
Price is a consideration, but I understand that the monitor
may well be pricey.

In addition, I would prefer continue using NT4 and video drivers seem to be
lagging drivers for Windows 95. Any suggestions about
available drivers would be appreciated.

I vaguely remember a FAQ on one of the commercial 3D suppliers web pages
about monitors, but have been unable to find it.

Any suggestions, particularly ones with which the user has personal,
flicker-free experience will be gratefully accepted.

Thanks, David Alexander
