P3D Stereo World is out!
Good news! I just got Stereo World May/June '97 (vol. 24, No. 2).
That's the good news for me. But there are good news for all
of us:
- Stereo World now has email address: StereoWorld@xxxxxxxx
As editor John Dennis notes, this will mean quicker access
to people and information sources but also considerable time
in reading and answering mail not directly related to the
production of the magazine... We are all welcome to submit
ideas for articles, etc., just don't expect an immediate
response.
- For the first time since 1982, a complete Index to Stereo
World has been published. Edited by T. K. Treadwell,
it covers volumes 1-23 (1974-1997) with 2500 entries.
"Some delightful illustrations break up the book's
otherwise packed 52 pages." Available on paper or
disk for $10 pp.
This issue has 48 pages filled with good information, including
an article by John Dennis on the ISU 11th World Congress, and
an article by "our very own" Gabriel Jacob on "Discovering
3Discover".
Review of interesting items: "Quimby - Modern Stereoscope"
by L-Design (Shab Levy is behind this), "Screen-Vu" mirror
stereoscope, Stereo Synch-Z70 stereo camera assembly based
on two Yashica Microtech Zoom 70 cameras, for $529 (base price).
Advertised product of interest: "The World of Stereographs" by
William Darrah, reprint of the original 1977 edition for $21.95
plus shipping.
To join NSA (includes subscription to Stereo World), send
$26 to NSA, PO Box 14801, Columbus OH 43214. Tell'em Dr. T
sent ya! :-)
