I was looking at these a while back. Nice camera, superb optics. The
conclusion I reached on using them for stereo was as the exposure
program (with can't be over-riden) was biased for higher shutter speeds
and wider apertures (which for conventional photography makes lots of
sense but for our purposes works against us) they probably weren't a
great choice.

Also, if you use 'em base to base, you're back to 24 mm picture width
with an unconventional mounting situation when shooting chromes...
