P3D Archival qualities of prints vs. slides

This talk about the historical value of view collections, and in
particular of the durability of stereo cards vs. slides vs. digital
images is making me wonder about the relative durability of prints
vs. slides.  Does anyone have info on that?  I assume it would depend
at least on the photographic paper used, and possibly on the chemicals
as well.
