When was the last time you had your eyes checked? :-)
I believe if the cropping is assymetric then the resulting stereo
window will appear to be tilted. This is what is experienced
in projection when people try to mask only one side and fail to
make a symmetric cropping.
I don't know why a tilted stereo window will work better for close
ups or scenes with a lot of depth.
