Personally, I do the opposite. For me, looking with glasses really
doesn't work all that great so I'd rather have each person refocus
the viewer and see it well -- than to have it adjustment-free but
people not see things well. If the adjustment range isn't good
enough then they can try glasses. I want each person to the
very best visual experience possible.
That's the reason for my having multiple viewers so that I can
have just the slide being passed around (when "crowd" is small).

P.S. - At least with my eyes (-5 diopter contact lenses, which is
what gives the best of both worlds) my bare eyes work
within the focus range of a Red-button viewer. Just
barely. Both eyes have the same strength corrective
lenses -- only difference is that one lens is larger
because it seems that I've better peripheral vision
in one eye (it's extra wide, I had that one made larger
because otherwise I could see the edge of the contact lens).
